Bernard (“Ben”) Schott is an experienced litigator and trusted advisor who has spent his career representing companies and individuals in high-stakes disputes. Before founding the firm, Ben served as in-house counsel for Fortune 100 companies, managing high-stakes litigation and advising senior leadership on litigation strategy, risk management, and compliance issues in jurisdictions throughout the United States.

Earlier in his career, Ben practiced with leading law firms—Morgan Lewis and Werman Salas P.C.—representing companies of all sizes and individual plaintiffs in complex disputes.

Ben has represented clients in single-plaintiff and class action employment, commercial, ERISA, privacy, First Amendment, and tort-related litigation. He has argued in state and federal courts, led complex negotiations, and built multi-jurisdictional strategies to achieve efficient, favorable resolutions.

Together with his in-house experience, and having worked as both defense and plaintiff’s counsel, Ben has a unique, 360° experience with litigation that enables him to anticipate challenges and identify leverage points. Whether representing individuals or businesses navigating complex disputes, he aims to deliver sophisticated advocacy with an unflagging commitment to the client’s goals.

Early in his career, Ben clerked for Judge Ursula Ungaro (ret.), United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Ben graduated from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. He is licensed in Illinois and Florida and is admitted to multiple federal courts. During his free time, Ben serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Illinois Chicago, where he teaches legal research and writing.
